Introduction: I began this series two years ago as a weekly Twitter/X thread. However, I decided to repost it here as a blog post in case my Twitter account is banned again.Certik "hacked" KrakenOne of the biggest recent stories was the hack of @krakenfx. It came to light that the attackers were not "hackers" but the security company Certik. Nick Percoco @c7five Kraken Security Update: On June 9 2024, we received a Bug Bounty program alert from a security researcher. No specifics were initially disclosed, but their email claimed to find an “extremely critical” bug that allowed them to artificially inflate their balance on our platform. 5,461 2:24 PM • Jun 19, 2024 Commentary by PopPunkOnChain: Pop Punk @PopPunkOnChain Certik exploited Kraken for $3M, waited 5 days to disclose the vulnerability, and has been extorting them for over a week. I know i've been shitposting a lot recently, but this is 100% real. Then, it re-enables the protocol and immediately gets hacked again. In the lawsuit, Paul claims that Coffeezilla knowingly and falsely accused Paul of being involved in the scam. Paul is seeking damages over $75,000.Oh, and it looks like I did something right. Because I just realized he blocked me on Twitter. YES!!!FBI puts cyber criminals behind real barsLet's finish this update with some positive vibes and how the FBI stopped a bunch of cybercriminals who expanded their "business" to the real world, where they committed a string of break-ins where they assaulted, threatened, and kidnapped victims.
