Pretty much every minute I am not eating, sleeping, or with my family is spent with AI.
So basically 98% of my professional workday.
I use AI for coding, obviously. But also for writing, generating images, building small tools, testing workflows, playing around with agents, and disappearing into way too many rabbit holes.
And I think a lot of people in this bubble have the same problem:
You simply have too many ideas.
Especially now with models like Fable from Anthropic, Codex, and this new generation of AI tools, execution is no longer the real bottleneck.
The bottleneck is imagination, time, and focus.
And somehow I try to push everything in that direction to the maximum.
Agents are running wherever possible.
But still, I have this weird feeling that:
A) I produce too little
B) I could do so much more
C) nothing ever really gets finished
I have a thousand repos active, and somehow every day it feels like there are more.
But almost nothing reaches the point where I would say:
"Okay, this is done."
And what is really strange is that my threshold for starting anything manually keeps dropping.
A few years ago, creating a repo, setting up a project, adding a few values, connecting a few things manually, that was just normal.
Today I catch myself thinking:
"I don’t even want to do that anymore."
I am already too lazy to create a repo through the website.
So, naturally, instead of just doing the thing, I am now building a system to trigger it through agents as well.
People deep in the AI bubble will probably say:
"Yeah, obviously. I already have that."
Fair enough.
But I am also someone who used to do things manually. And there is still this part of me that thinks:
"Come on, just do this one step by hand and let AI handle the rest."
But even that one step is starting to feel annoying.
For example, I have Coolify running on my VPS. Adding env variables there is basically just entering two or three values, depending on the project.
Nothing dramatic.
But even there, I feel this inner resistance now.
Like:
"No. I don’t want to do this manually anymore."
What I actually want is to be able to dictate an idea somewhere, clean up the messy parts, remove all the random "uhms" and half-sentences, and then have the system take care of the rest.
And that is the weird part.
This enormous laziness around doing anything manually is now combined with endless possibilities and almost zero focus.
It is chaos.
A productive kind of chaos, maybe.
But still chaos.
I once wrote something similar, saying we basically need horse blinders for the AI age.
But even with blinders, I still see the whole monitor.
I still have infinite possibilities at my fingertips.
So the blinders don’t really help either.
I guess I just had to get this out of my system.
Maybe someone else feels the same and wants to talk about it.
And yes, I am fully aware that this piece of content will probably disappear unread into the endless void of the internet.
But that is fine.
Now I will try to bring one of my thousand ideas to paper.
Or rather, into digital existence.
